Circular Breathwork

Circular Breathwork, also known as conscious-connected breathwork, is a particular technique of breathing pattern that involves a rhythmic and cyclical flow of the inhale and exhale with no gap in between. It is typically done with guidance from a trained breathwork practitioner in a comfortable and safe environment.

Benefits of Breathwork

Circular breathwork is a versatile and powerful tool that can support a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional benefits including:

  • Increased Oxygen Supply & Improved Respiratory Function: Regular practice improves oxygen flow throughout your body, enhances physical vitality, strengthens respiratory muscles and improves lung capacity and efficiency.

  • Enhanced Relaxation and Stress Reduction: The rhythmic nature of circular breathwork activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to calm the mind and reduce stress.

  • Emotional Release: It can allow access to unconscious or suppressed experiences and help release stored emotions, making it easier to process and move past emotional blockages.

  • Improved Focus and Concentration: It can enhance mental clarity that leads to better cognitive performance.

  • Increased Awareness and Mindfulness: Maintaining a continuous breath cycle encourages mindfulness and present-moment awareness, helping you stay grounded and connected to your inner self.

  • Facilitation of Meditative States: The technique can help induce altered states of consciousness, which can be useful for deep meditation, spiritual experiences, or personal insight.

Structure & Fees

Breathwork sessions usually last between 1.5 - 2 hours each and are comprised of brief psycho-education, a full hour of experiential breathwork and optional cognitive processing at the end of the practice. My standard therapy fee of $175 per hour is pro-rated accordingly: $260 for 90-minute session; $350 for 2-hour session.
